| This trip takes in the two most scenic national parks in Patagonia, a region renowned for its pristine natural beauty. The Paine National Park in Chile and the Glacier National Park in Agentina are world famous for the incredible near vertical sided rock monoliths rising sheer out of the surrounding glaciers and ice dotted lakes. From there we fly to the northern part of Patagonia to the the Lake District of Argentina and Chile.
Starting from Buenos Aires we fly to Calafate in the south of Argentine Patagonia. We then drive to El Chalten, the gateway to the Fitzroy and Cerro Torre massif. After three days exploring we return to Calafate. Here we visit the Moreno Glacier which, together with the Iguazu Falls, constitute the major natural wonders of Argentina.
We then head westwards into Chile and the Paine National Park. Here we conduct day hikes to the many scenic lookouts. We use different comfortable lodges to maximise the amount of the park that we visit. Our next destination is the lake district area of Chile and Argentina which is reckoned to have some of the finest lake scenery in the world this we enjoy by ferry and bus,as we cross into Argentina and arrive a Baricloche.
